Busy Weekend

Know where this place is? I bet you don't know. It's Utsunomiya city, the largest city in Tochigi perfecture with a population of 500000 people. The place in which I'm living in right now is Oyama city, the second largest city in Tochigi.

I had had a very busy weekend. I did my report till 2 am on Friday night and on Saturday, I went to Utsunomiya to attend some 'foreign students in Tochigi' meeting. I only arrived at my hostel at 8 pm. We had dinner there. Here's a picture of my dinner last Saturday.

Then, on the way back, the trains stopped temporarily so we had to use the Shinkansen (bullet train) back. This is because someone jumped onto the tracks to commit suicide (apparently this kind of incidents are a norm around here) and they had to clean up. Duh~ Anyway, back to the Shinkansen. I got to use it with a normal ticket! So excited. Normally a trip from Oyama to Utsunomiya that would take 30 minutes took only 10 minutes! Wow!!

Anyway, today I went to Oyama station, a 30 minutes bicycle ride from my NCT, and watched a movie. Yes!!! My first cinema experience in Japan! I can't believe I waited so long to experience it. When I was in KL, I went to the cinema at KLCC on my first week. I found the cinema in Japan... ordinary. Haha... Anyway, I watched this movie called Gegege no Kitaro ゲゲゲのきたろ. And I have to admit that I liked it a lot. I would recommend this movie to all teenage girls cos... cute guy alert!!! Hehe^_~

Then I went to Jusco to make my credit card. Took me quite q while to fill in the forms because it was in Japanese. Reached hostel at 8 pm like yesterday, ate my takoyaki and had some udon.

I'm very tired now so I'll just hit the bed early ;-) More tomorrow. Ciao.

P/S - The connection was terrible tonight so I couldn't sign in to MSN :-(
