Counting Down

They say that time crawls when you are anticipating or looking forward to a particular event. Well, I, for one felt that way when I was in PPKTJ for the previous 2 years (which was like a ride through hell, if you ask me... And don't get me started on the reasons why. That is one dark moment in my life that I wouldn't mind forgetting about). The last 2 years of my miserable life was spent counting down to days when I can get back to my beloved hometown and meet my warm and compassionate friend from my secondary school days. That and also every weekend when I can head to Stephanie and Anne's place in Bukit Jalil where Steph and I would order a meal and watch series till the time came when I had to return to that hellhole of my hostel.

Whenever I come back from Sibu, I'll become such a depressed soul and man, was I homesick back then. However, thank God for Steph and Anne, because if it wasn't for them, I doubt if I could have made it to Japan today. Anyway, back to the waiting part. I would count down to the day when I can finally go home. Back then, I would start packing my luggage a week before the date of my flight and making loooong lists of the stuff that I would bring home was, I'm not ashamed to say, actually more fun than the plane ride back home. Because (1) I for one dislike plane rides because 2 hours in the plane is far too boring to be true, (2) I hate waiting for the plane boarding time - do you know that I always had t0 set out from my hostel 6 hours before my flight? This is due to several factors [namely 1hr:waiting for the rapidkl bus, 1hr: train ride to kl sentral, 30mins: waiting for the bus to lcct, 1hr15mins: bus ride to lcct, and I have to check in 2 hrs before departure time because there was once I checked in like 1 hr before and I waited in the line for ages].

However, the same can hardly be said of my condition in Japan. I mean, I hate to admit this but, am I actually not as enthsiastic about going back to Malaysia as I thought I would be? Don't get me wrong. I mean, Malaysia is a great country and all, but this country is starting to grow on me also, you get my drift? It's just so convenient here and unlike the meagre amount of money we received back in Kuala Lumpur, we can actually do a lot of exciting things with the scholarship money that we are receiving here. But till then, there's 4 more weeks to go! Yea=>

P/S: Here are more pix as requested by Stephie who wants more food, food and food! LOL

Japanese ramen (soy sauce flavor as informed by Shuk Yee;-))

Japanese ramen (miso flavor)
Chicken flavor; yum yum=>

You think I can eat this raw???

Yes, you've got it right... Japanese eggs are white! (At first, my dear roommate Joceline thought that these were duck eggs ^o^)

Vanilla ice cream - Mmmm;-)

This is what Joceline cooked. Must be delicious because it sure looks like it ^_~

10s a zillion, shuk! hehe... i kinda like the chicken 1 because the kind of noodle is really very nice. it cannot be found in malaysia. they may have it in non-instant type but just imagine opening the packet just to find out that there's no flavor packet! it's inclusive in the noodle, that's why! lol.

i have no idea how much 1 packet costs because i've always bought by packet of fives. but a five pack costs 198 yen. really dirt cheap!!
